Preparation
- Preheat the oven according to the puff pastry instructions.
- In a bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In a saucepan, heat the milk until just boiling and gradually whisk it into the egg yolk mixture.
- Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring until thickened.
- Remove from heat and fold in the flour.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into triangles.
- Place a spoonful of the filling at the base of each triangle and roll up to form horns.
- Bake according to puff pastry instructions until golden brown.
Serving
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
- Serve warm, optionally dusted with powdered sugar.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or refrigerate for about a week. Best enjoyed fresh! Experiment with different fillings, such as chocolate or fruit preserves.
