Ingredients
  

Dough ingredients
  • 300 g 300g (2 cups) flour
  • 1 piece 1 egg
  • 45 g 45g (1/4 cup) sugar
  • 1 pinch Pinch of salt
  • 7 g 7g dry yeast
  • 140 ml 140ml (3/5 cup) warm milk
  • 40 g 40g (1/4 cup) softened butter
Filling ingredients
  • Fresh strawberries for filling Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg and warm milk together, then mix in the softened butter.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and knead until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about an hour, or until it doubles in size.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Roll out the dough and cut it into small circles; place a strawberry in the center of each circle.
  3. Fold the dough over the strawberry and seal the edges.
  4. Place the bombs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve Strawberry Bombs warm or at room temperature. Dust with powdered sugar or pair with vanilla ice cream for an extra treat. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days, or refrigerate for up to a week. Reheat in the microwave or oven.
