  • 1 cup milk Can substitute with almond milk or other non-dairy milk
  • 2 pieces eggs Make sure they are at room temperature for better mixing
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a pinch salt

  • fruit or chocolate for toppings Fresh fruit or a scoop of ice cream pairs well

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar, flour, milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and set in the center.
  2. Allow it to cool before serving.

Notes

Store any leftover dessert in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to a month and thaw in the refrigerator before serving. Consider adding citrus zest or extracts for different flavors. For a chocolate twist, add cocoa powder or mix in nuts or chocolate chips.
