Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 10 teaspoons baking powder
Wet Ingredients
  • 2 cups amasi A fermented dairy product
  • 500 grams Rama or Woodenspoon Melted
  • 1 cup vanilla custard Optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the sugar and baking powder.
  3. Add the amasi and melted Rama or Woodenspoon to the mixture and stir until combined.
  4. If desired, fold in the vanilla custard.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
  6. Pat the dough to a thickness of about 1 inch and cut into rounds.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with butter, jam, or clotted cream. These scones can be customized with fruits, chocolate chips, or nuts. Store them in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze for longer storage.
