  • 1 chicken egg for egg wash

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix together the flour and salt.
  2. Add the soft butter and mix until crumbly.
  3. Gradually add cold water until the mixture forms a dough.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and fold it multiple times to create layers.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  6. Roll out again and use as desired.
  7. Brush with egg wash before baking.

Notes

Wrap any leftover puff pastry tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to three days or freeze for later use.
