  • 1 cup flour All-purpose flour preferred.
  • 1/2 cup sugar Granulated sugar.
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened Ensure butter is at room temperature.
  • 1 large egg Egg for binding.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For flavor.
  • 1 pinch salt To enhance sweetness.

Method
 

Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. Gradually add the flour and salt to the mixture until fully combined.
  5. Scoop small amounts of dough and shape them into tiny balls.
  6. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Sprinkle with powdered sugar for added sweetness. Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze with parchment paper between layers.
