Ingredients
  

Main ingredients
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour Use for the main bread base.
  • 1 tablespoon sugar Helps with fermentation and adds slight sweetness.
  • 1 tablespoon salt Enhances flavor.
  • 1 packet instant yeast Approximately 2 1/4 teaspoons.
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water Should be warm but not hot to avoid killing the yeast.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast together.
  2. Gradually add warm water and stir until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let it rise for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. Place the dough in a greased baking dish and bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. Let it cool before slicing.

Notes

Store bread in an airtight container or zip-top bag for freshness. Can be frozen by slicing and wrapping tightly.
