  • 1 tablespoon halal soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 200 grams beef, sliced thin
  • 150 grams noodles (rice or whole grain)
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 2 eggs, for soft-boiling
  • 200 grams mixed vegetables (like bell peppers, carrots, or spinach)
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • to taste sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

Cooking
  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions.
  2. In a pan, mix the halal soy sauce and honey or maple syrup over medium heat.
  3. Add the sliced beef to the pan and cook until browned and cooked through.
  4. Soft-boil the eggs (about 6-7 minutes in simmering water).
  5. Assemble the bowl: start with noodles, add the glazed beef, sliced avocado, and soft-boiled egg.
  6. Top with mixed vegetables and sprinkle sesame seeds.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.

Notes

Serve in a deep dish for beautiful layers. Add lime juice for a zingy flavor, or substitute beef with chicken or tofu. Add chili flakes or Sriracha if you enjoy some heat. Store leftovers separately for freshness.
