  • 1 loaf loaf of bread Any type of bread works, including French bread or sourdough.
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted For the garlic butter mixture.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic is recommended.
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the loaf of bread in half lengthwise.
  3. In a bowl, mix the melted butter with minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture on each half of the bread.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese generously over the top.
  6. Place the bread halves on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Remove from oven, allow to cool slightly, then cut into slices and serve.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Pairs well with marinara sauce for dipping or a fresh salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
