  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice) Feel free to use your favorite cheese.
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Stir in the shredded cheese until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, and eggs.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Serving
  1. Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a twist, consider adding chopped green onions, cooked bacon bits, or diced peppers to the batter.
