  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients

    • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients

    • In another bowl, whisk melted butter, eggs, milk (or buttermilk), and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Mix the Batter

    • Gradually add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined (do not overmix).
  5. Bake

    • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
    • Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cinnamon Sugar Topping

    • Mix the ¼ cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in a small bowl.
    • Once the loaf is out of the oven and still warm, brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over it.
  7. Cool & Serve

    • Let the loaf cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
