Jacket potatoes, also known as baked potatoes

 





A baked potato is a simple, versatile dish that can be enjoyed in many ways. To make one, you just need to:

  1. Preheat the oven to around 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and dry the potato well, then prick it a few times with a fork.
  3. Rub the skin with olive oil and sprinkle with salt for extra flavor and a crisp skin.
  4. Bake directly on the oven rack for about 45-60 minutes, depending on the size of the potato. It’s done when the skin is crispy and a fork can easily slide into the flesh.
