Garlic and Butter Flatbread Recipe
This soft, buttery, and garlicky flatbread is perfect as a side dish, snack, or even a base for sandwiches and wraps. It's easy to make with simple ingredients!
Ingredients
For the Flatbread:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (or bread flour)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup Greek yogurt (or plain yogurt)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ¼ cup warm water (adjust as needed)
For the Garlic Butter Topping:
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Prepare the Dough
- In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add yogurt and olive oil, then gradually add warm water.
- Mix and knead into a soft, non-sticky dough (about 5 minutes).
- Cover and let it rest for 15–20 minutes.

- Divide the dough into 4-6 equal balls.
- Roll each into a thin circle or oval (about ¼-inch thick).

Cook the Flatbread
- Heat a skillet or pan over medium heat.
- Cook each flatbread for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown with bubbles forming.

Make the Garlic Butter
- In a small pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add chopped parsley (if using).

- Brush the warm flatbreads with garlic butter right after cooking.
- Serve immediately with dips, soups, or alongside grilled meats.
