TWISTED DOUGHNUTS

 






Twisted doughnuts are soft, fluffy, and slightly crispy on the outside—perfect for a snack or dessert! Here’s a simple homemade recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 2 ½ cups (300g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • ½ cup warm milk (120ml)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • Oil for frying
  • Sugar or cinnamon sugar for coating (optional)

Instructions:

Step 1: Make the Dough

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. Add warm milk, egg, and melted butter.
  3. Knead for 8-10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  4. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Step 2: Shape the Twists

  1. Punch down the dough and divide it into equal pieces.
  2. Roll each piece into a long rope (about 8 inches long).
  3. Twist the dough ropes and pinch the ends to seal.

Step 3: Fry the Doughnuts

  1. Heat oil in a deep pan to 170-180°C (340-360°F).
  2. Fry the twisted doughnuts for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Step 4: Coat & Serve

  1. While warm, coat with sugar or cinnamon sugar for extra flavor.
  2. Enjoy fresh with tea, coffee, or a drizzle of honey!
