Here’s a soft and fluffy cinnamon rolls recipe that guarantees a rich, gooey filling and a deliciously tender texture!

Ingredients

For the Dough:

  • 4 cups (500g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast
  • ¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup (180ml) warm milk (not too hot, about 110°F/45°C)
  • ¼ cup (60g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg

For the Filling:

  • ½ cup (100g) brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • ¼ cup (60g) unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup (50g) chopped nuts (optional)

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • ½ cup (120g) cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup (60g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk (adjust for consistency)

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Dough:

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add melted butter, egg, and salt, then gradually mix in the flour until a dough forms.
  3. Knead for about 8 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour (until doubled in size).

2️⃣ Make the Filling:

  1. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  2. Roll out the dough into a rectangle (about ¼-inch thick).
  3. Spread softened butter evenly over the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture on top.

3️⃣ Roll & Cut:

  1. Tightly roll the dough into a log and cut into 12 equal rolls.
  2. Place in a greased baking pan, leaving space between them.
  3. Cover and let them rise again for 30–45 minutes.

4️⃣ Bake:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown.

5️⃣ Make the Frosting:

  1. Beat together cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.

6️⃣ Finish & Serve:

  1. Spread the frosting over the warm cinnamon rolls.
  2. Serve fresh and enjoy!
