Rich & Crunchy Caramel Cream Recipe

Ingredients:

For the caramel:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • ½ cup heavy cream (warm)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

For the crunch:

  • ½ cup chopped toasted nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, or pecans)
  • ¼ cup crushed caramelized sugar (optional for extra crunch)

For the cream base:

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. Make the Caramel:

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar and water. Stir until dissolved.
  • Let it cook without stirring until it turns a deep amber color.
  • Carefully add the warm heavy cream while stirring (it will bubble up).
  • Stir in butter, vanilla, and salt. Remove from heat and let it cool.

2. Prepare the Crunch:

  • Toast the chopped nuts in a dry pan until fragrant. Let them cool.
  • (Optional) Melt 2 tbsp sugar in a pan until caramelized, pour onto parchment paper, let it harden, then crush it for extra crunch.

3. Make the Cream Base:

  • Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.

4. Assemble the Caramel Cream:

  • Gently fold the caramel into the whipped cream, leaving swirls for a marbled effect.
  • Stir in the toasted nuts and crushed caramel.
