Easy Homemade White Bread - Don't LOSE this recipe

 







Here’s an easy homemade white bread recipe you won’t want to lose! It’s soft, fluffy, and perfect for sandwiches or toast.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour (or bread flour)
  • 1 ½ cups warm water (110°F/45°C)
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter or vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Activate the Yeast:

    • In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Make the Dough:

    • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.
    • Add the yeast mixture and butter (or oil).
    • Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the Dough:

    • Knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
    • Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour (or until doubled in size).
  4. Shape & Second Rise:

    • Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf, and place in a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan.
    • Cover and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  5. Bake:

    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  6. Cool & Enjoy:

    • Let cool before slicing.
