1Classic Chocolate Poke Cake
Ingredients:
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 jar (8 oz) hot fudge sauce
- 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping
- Chocolate shavings or sprinkles for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Prepare the cake batter according to the instructions on the cake mix box.
- Pour the batter into the prepared dish and bake as directed, usually 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the cake is baking, heat the hot fudge sauce in a microwave-safe bowl until warm.
- When the cake comes out of the oven, use the end of a wooden spoon or a fork to poke holes all over the cake.
- Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the cake, allowing it to soak into the holes.
- Then, pour the warm fudge sauce over the cake, spreading it evenly.
- Let the cake cool completely before topping with whipped topping.
