Recipe for Cinnamon Swirl Apple Fritter Bread
Ingredients
For the Apple Mixture:
- 2 medium apples (peeled, cored, and diced)
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
For the Cinnamon Swirl:
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
For the Bread Batter:
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- ⅔ cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ¾ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup milk
For the Glaze:
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract

Preheat & Prepare
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and line a 9x5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.

Prepare the Apples
- In a bowl, toss the diced apples with 2 tbsp sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon. Set aside.

Make the Cinnamon Swirl
- In a separate small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon.

Make the Batter
- In a large bowl, beat the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk, mixing until just combined.

Assemble the Bread
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Add half of the apple mixture and sprinkle with half of the cinnamon swirl mixture.
- Pour the remaining batter on top, followed by the rest of the apples and cinnamon swirl.
- Use a knife to gently swirl the layers together.

Bake
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Make the Glaze & Drizzle
- Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Drizzle over the slightly warm bread.
