Here’s a rich and creamy Chocolate Chip Vanilla Mousse recipe that’s easy to make and absolutely delicious!

Chocolate Chip Vanilla Mousse

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream (cold)
  • ½ cup (120ml) whole milk
  • ¼ cup (50g) sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp gelatin powder (optional, for stability)
  • 2 tbsp warm water (if using gelatin)
  • ½ cup (75g) mini chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Gelatin (Optional for Firmer Mousse):

    • In a small bowl, mix ½ tsp gelatin powder with 2 tbsp warm water. Stir and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  2. Heat the Milk & Sugar:

    • In a small saucepan over low heat, warm the milk and sugar until the sugar dissolves (don’t let it boil).
    • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
    • If using gelatin, add it to the warm milk and mix well. Let the mixture cool.
  3. Whip the Cream:

    • In a large bowl, beat the cold heavy cream with an electric mixer until soft peaks form.
  4. Combine:

    • Slowly fold the cooled milk mixture into the whipped cream.
    • Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips.
  5. Chill & Serve:

    • Spoon the mousse into serving cups and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
    • Garnish with extra chocolate chips or chocolate shavings before serving.
