Ingredients
For the Cake:
- 1 ½ cups (190g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup (120ml) milk or buttermilk
- 1 cup (150g) fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1 tbsp flour (to coat blueberries, prevents sinking)
For the Glaze:
- 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp lemon juice or milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions

Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.

Mix Dry Ingredients
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

Cream Butter & Sugar
- In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).

Add Eggs & Vanilla
- Beat in eggs, one at a time.
- Add vanilla extract and mix.

Combine Wet & Dry Ingredients
- Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.

Add Blueberries
- Toss blueberries with 1 tbsp flour to prevent them from sinking.
- Gently fold them into the batter.

Bake
- Pour batter into the loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Prepare the Glaze
- Mix powdered sugar and lemon juice (or milk) until smooth.
- Drizzle over the cooled cake.

- Top with fresh blueberries if desired.
