Apple Almond Cake Recipe
This soft and fluffy apple almond cake is perfect for fall or anytime you crave a light, nutty dessert. The combination of tender apples, crunchy almonds, and a slightly crispy sugar crust makes it irresistible!
Ingredients:
For the Cake:
- 2 large apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional, for warmth)
For the Topping:
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1 tbsp sugar (for a crispy top)
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Batter
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Stir in melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until smooth.
Step 2: Add the Apples
- Gently fold in the apple slices until evenly coated with batter.
Step 3: Assemble & Bake
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle the sliced almonds and sugar on top for a crunchy finish.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Step 4: Cool & Serve
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove the springform ring.
- Serve warm or at room temperature, with whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or caramel sauce!
