Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups (190g) all-purpose flour
- 3 ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 ¼ cups (300ml) milk
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions:
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Make the Batter: Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. A few lumps are fine—don’t overmix!
- Heat the Pan: Preheat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium-low heat. Lightly grease with butter or oil.
- Cook the Pancakes: Pour ¼ cup of batter onto the pan for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface (about 2 minutes), then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
