Here's a quick and delicious fried fish recipe for fish and chips:


Ingredients:


- 4 fillets of white fish (such as cod, haddock, or tilapia)

- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 1 teaspoon salt

- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

- 1/2 teaspoon paprika

- 1/2 cup milk

- 1 egg

- Vegetable oil for frying

- Lemon wedges for serving


Instructions:


1. In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, and paprika.

2. In another dish, whisk together the milk and egg.

3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).

4. Dip each fish fillet into the flour mixture, shaking off any excess, then dip into the milk and egg mixture, and finally back into the flour mixture, ensuring each fillet is evenly coated.

5. Carefully place the coated fillets into the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.

6. Remove the fried fish from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove any excess oil.

7. Serve the fish hot with a side of chips (French fries) and lemon wedges for squeezing over the fish.
